For some bizarre reason the silly people working at Sony decided to disable the Intel VT extensions by default. But hackers are always smarter than stupid salesmen making decisions in some random department of a Enormous Big Company™: there is a way to re-enable VT extensions.

AbiWord 2.6 is able of loading Office Open XML documents. Yikes!
Things move fast in the Open Source world… and thanks to that now I can read «unfriendly» document formats without leaving GNU/Linux and without using stinky proprietary software on top of Wine. Holy shit…

Alex Hixon has just released version 0.11.0 of the r5u870 driver, which supports the webcam present in the Vaio TZ11MN laptops (amongst others). I have updated my overlay with an ebuild for this release. Enjoy!
